Terms of Service

The agreement for using MyMOCEC and MOCEC+.

DRAFT — revised 28 August 2026. These documents are drafts pending attorney review and are not final legal terms.

The agreement

  • These terms are between you and [OWNER TO CONFIRM LEGAL ENTITY] ([OWNER TO CONFIRM: legal entity name, business address, and country/state of registration]), the operator of the MyMOCEC application.
  • By creating an account you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy and Subscription & Billing Terms.

Age eligibility

  • MyMOCEC is a general-audience service intended for people aged 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly permit anyone under 13 to register an account. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will close it and delete the associated data.
  • Paid subscriptions and one-time purchases require the legal capacity to enter into a contract. Where the law requires it, a purchase by a minor must be made or authorized by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for that transaction.
  • The app does not currently ask for or verify a date of birth, so these age rules are stated requirements rather than technically enforced ones. [PENDING ATTORNEY REVIEW: age wording, especially for non-U.S. jurisdictions where the age of digital consent is 16 (parts of the EU/UK) or where different minor-contract rules apply.]

Using the app

  • MyMOCEC is a personal decluttering and clarity system. You are responsible for the content you add and for every decision you make about your possessions, including what you discard, donate, sell or keep.
  • Keep your account credentials secure. Do not attempt to access another person's account or data, disrupt the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
  • You keep ownership of the content you create. You grant us only the permission needed to store, process and display that content back to you as part of running the service.

What the app is not

  • MyMOCEC and the MOCEC Coach provide practical organising guidance only. They do not provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial or therapeutic advice, diagnosis or treatment, and are not a substitute for a qualified professional.
  • Coach replies are AI-generated and can be incomplete or wrong. Treat them as a starting point, not instructions.
  • Nothing here is intended to remove rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.

Availability and changes

  • Features may change as the product develops. We aim to give reasonable notice of material changes to paid features and of changes to these terms.
  • We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. You can close your own account at any time in Settings.

Governing law and disputes — OWNER REVIEW PLACEHOLDER

  • [OWNER TO CONFIRM: governing law and jurisdiction — the state/country whose law applies and where disputes are heard. This depends on the registered legal entity and business address, which have not been supplied.]
  • [OWNER TO CONFIRM: whether disputes go to court or to binding arbitration, whether a class-action waiver is included, and whether small-claims and informal-resolution carve-outs are offered. This is a legal decision with real consumer-rights consequences and should be drafted or approved by an attorney — it has deliberately not been guessed here.]
  • [OWNER TO CONFIRM: limitation of liability and warranty language, which must be written to fit the chosen jurisdiction and applicable consumer-protection law.]
  • Until these are completed by the owner and reviewed by an attorney, this section is a placeholder and states no binding dispute terms. Contact: Chaos2clarityinc@gmail.com.
